Every instrument we sell is covered — clearly and in writing.
Coverage at a glance
Guitars & Basses
12 months against manufacturing defects, plus free re-setup within the first year.
Amps & Electronics
12 months on electronic components and workmanship.
Accessories
6 months on hardware and mechanical parts (stands, tuners, pedals).
What's covered
- Structural manufacturing defects: neck warping under normal tension, splitting seams, lifting bridges or fretboard separation.
- Faulty electronics: dead pickups, crackling pots, failing output jacks and wiring faults present from manufacture.
- Hardware failures not caused by wear: broken tuning machines, stripped truss rods, defective strap buttons.
What's not covered
- Damage from drops, impacts, or use of wrong string gauges / tunings.
- Normal wear: fret wear, finish checking, string corrosion, worn nuts and saddles.
- Damage from improper storage (extreme heat, direct sun, car boots, radiators).
- Modifications or repairs performed by anyone other than our workshop.
How to make a claim
- Get in touch. Email partnerships@siliconsilk.ca with your order number, a description of the fault, and photos or a short video.
- We assess. We respond within 2 business days with next steps.
- Repair, replace or refund. We'll repair at our workshop, replace with the same model, or refund — whichever gets you playing again fastest.
Proof of purchase (order number or account order history) is required. Warranty is provided by GG BOND ABILITY LIMITED and applies to purchases from ggbond1883.com.
